The Feelings Detective

A little curiosity goes a long way. Grab a mirror—or just your imagination—and explore what feelings look and feel like together.

You’ll need: a mirror, paper and crayons, or nothing at all.

  1. Take turns making happy, worried, frustrated, excited, and sad faces.
  2. Ask: “What do you notice?” Explore body clues, like clenched fists or a tight tummy.
  3. Guess each other’s pretend feelings. Talk about what might help when they show up for real.
“Your feelings are allowed. We can feel angry and still keep our bodies safe.”

The goal isn’t to erase difficult feelings. It’s to learn what to do with them.
